Missions -- An Unexpected Journey

Have you seen “The Hobbit”?  One little person, Bilbo, is caught up in the adventure of his lifetime.
On leaving the safety of his home, he is completely out of his comfort zone but he grows as he travels. He is confused but becomes confident, terrified then triumphant; he is challenged and is changed.  It is such a wonderful metaphor for what happens to us in Covenant PlayersWe step out in faith and are transformed.
No one is completely prepared for mission.  We pray, we seek the Lord’s will, and then we take a step of faith. When a person joins Covenant Players, they are faced with many new tasks and challenges: learning the plays, working in a new language, working with people of a different background or experience, sleeping in different beds, eating different foods.  We put our faith out and wait to see God fulfill it.  And, wonder of wonders, we frequently hear, “What you did today, that play, that changed my life.  Don’t stop what you are doing.”
Little people stepping out, doing big things.  Truly, an unexpected journey.
